RubyC welcomes Yorick Peterse (Netherlands)

Yorick is a regular contributor to Free and Open Source Software and has worked on a wide variety of projects such as Oga (an XML/HTML parsing library written in Ruby), ruby-ll (an LL(1) parser generator), and a re-implementation of Ruby's Socket standard library in Ruby for Rubinius, and Rubinius itself. During the day he works for GitLab where he focuses on improving performance of GitLab and "occasionally" complains about the state of software in general.

At RubyC-2016 Yorick will present topic dedicated to his work for GitLab, taking a look at the tools and techniques he uses to improve performance of Rails application, as well as what tools and techniques could be used to optimize ones Rails applications.
